I've installed both Honeywell and ELK for many years, and the ELK is so much more "friendly" to install and program. There's a really nice custom rules engine built into their software. It supports up to 208 zones, 8 partitions, 205 outputs (relay/voltage) and is easily programmed with their ELK RP software. Modules have been available for a long, long time. They can be integrated via Serial or IP and the protocol is identical for each (just need a TCP/IP client symbol). Most of our projects are SIMPL, and the ELK systems work perfectly. We don't use Home very often, but it would be a nice addition. I believe that it will be integrated with that soon. I've been Lately, I've been hounding Crestron to add it to Home as a supported system. On Wed, at 4:23 PM Brian Matson wrote: We use ELK, and it is extremely reliable. Probably the best thing about them is that you can get a human on the phone in no time should you ever have a question! Also, if your replacing a Interlogix system with wireless, they have a 319.5MHz wireless receiver that is compatible with Interlogix sensors. We use ELK, and it is extremely reliable. I'll mention, we don't work with HAI any more lol, they were so unreliable. But if there's another option, I'd love to hear it. I've seen that Control 4 has an integration partnership with DSC and I think if Crestron wants to haveĪny chance at being competitive with their new Home OS3 (or traditional SIMPL programming). We have been looking intoĭSC as an option, but I'm told that the old Powerseries stuff is not the best option and their new Neo series is better but it only support IP control. Our company is partnered with a security company and we work closely with each other. (I’ve had an NX-8v2 in my house with the 587E for Crestron for longer than I can remember and have been very satisfied with the results) NX-587E virtual keypad as still available: Though it’s not GE anymore (it’s been part of United Technologies for a few years) everything I’m seeing shows the NetworkX series including the NX- panels and I don’t do resi but I’m curious what you mean by “no longer an option”?
